I have created these "Heavenly Portraits" as a dedication to the memory of a loved one who is no longer with us in person, but who will always be alive in spirit. I have had extraordinary spiritual journeys when painting portraits of people who have either crossed over or who are still with us but have deep connections to the spirit world. It feels as if there is a presence guiding me and I get a glimpse into their personality and sometimes, their past lives. Here are a few different styles to choose from that I have created over the years.

HEAVENLY SHROUD: The sculptured cloth is reminiscent of a shroud and is artistically and sensitively hand molded to surround and protect the spirit of the person in the portrait. The fabric is applied to a 1/4 inch thick wood panel, then mounted on a 1 and 1/2 inch wide gallery wrapped canvas ready for hanging. It requires no framing.

PORTRAIT FROM VINTAGE PHOTO: The unusual effect of this portrait style leaves one feeling as if the person is emerging from the mist. The surface of the canvas is textured with a plaster compound and reminiscent of an ancient frescoed wall. The monochromatic earth tones lend an aged, old world feeling and can be lightened, darkened or tinted with washes of color according to your taste.

HEAVENLY SHROUD 2: The presentation is the same as HEAVENLY SHROUD, with an addition of the Pearly Gates in the background. Each gate design is different, as I get a feeling about the person in the portrait, the style and structure comes out in the gate.
