Prison Mural |
This mural was created and produced with the assistance of 13 inmates who were housed in a special unit for Veterans of the U.S. Military Forces. This particular unit is an ongoing project of the Los Angeles County Jail System. It is an experimental program instituted by Sheriff Lee Baca. I was hired to choose, train and supervise these 13 inmates. The mural took 3 months to complete and is 1,000 square feet and 18 feet high. The inmates exhibited a high level of cooperation and artistic talent. I am grateful for this opportunity to teach and inspire a group of men so talented and appreciative. God bless them and their future endeavors. (Click on each image to enlarge.)
